Project Management(PM):
Start every project by understanding the project's objectives; e.g the problem(s) to be fixed ...
• as Abraham Lincoln said: "I can make more generals, but horses cost money." FYI: Projects big/small are constrained by Scope, Time, and lastly Costs ... as pointed out by Abraham Lincoln!!!
Getting Started with Project Management(PM)
This segment walks you through the types of Project Management. You will learn about how to use "Progressive Elaboration" to expand a project's "Concept" into a project plan to create a work effort's deliverables.
- For instance, a project you might consider doing; could be to go to college to get a 4 year degree, so that you can enjoy earning a bigger paycheck and have steady employment -- maybe, while you are working in your chosen career field. So the concept for this project would be described as "acquire BS/BA college degree and skills to be viable in the 21st century" and modeled at a high-level, as in Figure 10-00A:
Figure 10-00A: "Acquire college degree ..." high level Use Case Model
What are next steps to get that college degree??? Determining those next steps, is known as "Progressive Elaboration."

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)
This segment provides the answers to a number of "Frequently Asked Questions". For instance, "Can I get a legitimate college education -- leading to a Bachelor's degree -- without spending more than $10,000 US dollars?"
- Using this website's "Navigation Menu" -- located on the left side of this panel -- you will be able to access the "Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)" segment, that will answer a number of previously asked questions.
Project Life Cycle Fundamentals:
"Project Management(PM)" problem “root-cause” analysis, Initiation, Planning, Execution & Controlling, and Closing processes together, end to end represent the Project Life Cycle of our project engagement work efforts at THEADEPTPM Resource.
- Using this website's "Navigation Menu" -- located on the left side of this panel -- you will be able to access each of the "PM Stages", that comprise the Project Life Cycle.
PM best practices:
Our team has adopted many PM industry best practices; including making use of the "Earned Value" formula to track project health, applying "Agile Principles" and "Lean Six Sigma(LSS)" tools; every project's documentation repository has multiple "Artifacts" including "Story" telling "slide decks," UML Modeling diagrams, other visual pictures, and written historical narrative perspectives -- to record all aspects of a project's resource consumption.
- Every THEADEPTPM Resource Project Manager will document their project's Deliverables and Status as it relates to time, costs, and scope (PM Triple Constraints) generally using "slide decks."
- Note: some of the THEADEPTPM.COM website's information content -- including the previously mentioned "Slide decks" -- will be rendered with Adobe's Flash program. Slide decks are created on an "as needed" basis, to document the past/current/future summary of every project
Applied Lessons Learned:
Every project by definition is a temporary endeavor; meaning that a project has a start date and an ending date. Following project closure -- what remains are very useful -- you will have documented "Lessons Learned." These "Lessons Learned" can be applied to future project work efforts to obtain new project action item improvements, yielding better resource utilization.
- Using this website's "Navigation Menu" -- located on the left side of this panel -- you will be able to access "Lessons Learned", that the THEADEPTPM Resource team has recorded from completed project work efforts.
Resources
What "Resources" will you need to get your arms around Project Management ... you will need to comprehend a new Glossary of words, the arithmetic PM Formulae that are basic to track projects, and where to get more Education -- information/substance to better understand Project Management
- Using this website's "Navigation Menu" -- located on the left side of this panel -- you will be able to access the "Resources" segment, that will assist you with details of Project Management.
